Are cats really wiser than dogs?

I have never had a cat before but I have had dogs and I would like to share my personal experience with both of them. My mom decided to get a cat for her shop to chase away the rats because she sells food stuffs also in her shop, so most times, the cat is usually in the house until she needs to take it to her shop. Recently, something happened with the cat and I was somehow shocked. For sometime, the cat usually cries out in the night which disturbs my sleep and I don't like it. But according to my security, he said the cat is matured and is looking for a male cat to mate with (it's female btw) that's why it makes a sound every night for another cat to locate her. She was lucky one day where her crying eventually paid off, a male cat finally came to her rescue and she escaped with him.
The morning after I started looking for the cat cuz anytime I open the door, it runs from where ever to meet me but on this day it didn't so I figured out it must've escaped. I felt it wasn't going to survive outside because its more of a domestic cat now so how will it survive in the wild. I was telling my mom that what if it comes back pregnant but that's a story for another day. Our cat was outside for two days and then suddenly it came back, it was scratching at the gate cuz it didn't know its way back in that's why I felt a male cat probably came in and took it away. The male cat couldn't even bring her back, he just left her. We finally opened the gate for it and it ran inside, it looked so slim and it had lost its voice already. I felt for it but at the same time I didn't. I felt it would still come back at the same time I felt it wouldn't cuz I live in Nigeria and most Nigerians see cats as evil so they would rather kill it.
Cats are really smart tbh and I would say I prefer cats to dogs because they are not messy, I have never seen my cat's poo and it always cleans herself, both male and female. I have had dogs before but when they escape, we are usually the ones that go looking for them. If we leave them, our dogs won't come back. I never knew that female cats also look for male cats. It's quite interesting. Ever since the cat came back, it doesn't make that sound it usually makes in the night. I'm sure she has seen how life is outside and she can't cope. She won't be getting the free foods she's eating here, she'll have to go and hustle for her own out in the wild. I don't know how I can relate to cat's situation to a life lesson. If you have any kindly leave a comment xoxo. I'm now calling my cat the prodigal daughter haha.
“The male Cat couldn't even bring her back”
That part honestly had me laughing 🤣
