The Big News!!!

It’s been a while I came on here but a lot has happened since then. If you’re coming from instagram, I’m sure you’ve heard the news by now. I’m married!! If you had asked me earlier this year if I saw myself getting married anytime soon I would’ve had a different answer. The story goes like this.

Earlier this year, my boyfriend asked me to marry him, I told him to speak to my parents which he did, I used that to know if he was serious and he actually was. He first spoke to my mom then I spoke to my dad about his intentions and he asked me a few questions like if I was sure about marrying him and I replied with yes. I asked my dad if I could give my now husband his number to speak further about his intentions and my dad agreed. The rest is history. My dad fixed a date for the introduction which is called ‘knocking on the door’ or ‘iku aka’ in Igbo tradition.

The introduction was done and the date for the traditional wedding was fixed. The wedding preparation for the trad wedding was done in two weeks. We had the court wedding in the same week of the trad wedding and before you know it, everything was done. Now I’m a married woman 😊. I give all thanks to God for his unending love and blessings from the wedding preparation to the actual wedding.
