Finding a church ( Your Home 🤍)

Happy New Year everyone. Glad we’ve geared up for the new year.

One of the practices that changed my life since 2020 was reading my bible. I remember when I was in university, and I used to go to my aunt’s house to spend Christmas. There was a time she asked me if I read my bible then I answered her that I go to church. Her reply got me thinking when she told me that going to church and reading the bible are two different things. That struck me and I cultivated the habit of reading the bible. This opened me to revelations and teachings which made me interested in constantly reading the bible.

It is very important as Christians to cultivate the habit of studying the bible because it unconsciously molds your character, and no other guide is more accurate than the bible. As a born Anglican, when I got back to Nigeria, I decided to find another home church for myself. One thing that drives me to a church is the message. As a true believer, once I feel that the message is not in line with God’s word, I’m not prompted to go to the church.

Coming to Abuja, I found a church for myself, and it has impacted my life since. I also joined a department and I’ve made great connections and friends along the way. It is important that we must fix our gaze on the things of God and practice the word of God because the things of the world will always come as distractions.
